Potassium sorbate is a very common food preservative, has the effect of preventing spoilage and acid, extending the shelf life.

1. Potassium sorbate is an internationally recognized low-toxic, high-efficiency acid preservative with the same antiseptic effect as sorbic acid. The range and amount of use (based on sorbic acid) see sorbic acid.
2. Used as food preservative, fruit and vegetable preservation and washing cosmetics and feed preservatives.
3. Cosmetic preservatives. It is an organic acid preservative. The amount added is generally 0.5%. Can be mixed with sorbic acid.
